Burlington College Green Revolving Fund

Burlington College recently acquired a new 32-acre campus and 80,000 square foot academic building of historic significance. Half of the building was built in the 1880′s and half in the 1940′s, so the building and the land are blank slates for energy efficiency improvements and sustainability projects. The College intends to use the revolving fund to undertake much-needed efficiency improvements in lighting, HVAC, water use, windows and insulation. As a long-range plan for the development of the entire campus evolves, additional applications for these energy funds will be identified, including construction of an energy-efficient student dormitory and numerous possibilities for sustainable land use.
