SEI Announces New Partnerships with MiAPPA and IGEN

It’s January 2015, and we’re back in action after the holiday break. Now that we find ourselves in a new year, SEI is looking ahead to see what the field of sustainability needs and how we can amplify the good work that is already being done on the ground at institutions, organizations, and campuses across North America. 

But first, some exciting announcements! Recently, SEI solidified two new partnerships that we are excited to officially share— collaborations with the Michigan Association of Physical Plant Administrators (MiAPPA) and the Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN). MiAPPA is a Michigan organization comprised of higher education facilities professionals and business members that connects their community with innovative ideas and best practices for the facilities they serve. IGEN is a consortium of Illinois community colleges working to grow the green economy of Illinois and seeks to expand deployment of clean energy technologies, increase employment opportunities, improve environmental and human health, foster community engagement, and accelerate market competitiveness. Together, the partnerships will bring over 25 institutions new institutions onboard with GRITS over the next few months and we anticipate hundreds of new projects being added to the GRITS Library, more data, more project sharing, and best practices available to the entire GRITS network. Please join me in welcoming MiAPPA and IGEN to the GRITS community! (Has it been a while since you checked out the GRITS Library? And a teaser: over the last few months, SEI has been developing partnerships with key organizations that will bring new insight and an even more diverse range of institutions to the table. While we can’t share any details yet, we hope to be able to announce the partnerships soon (so stay tuned).
