The Sustainability Projects Fund

The Sustainability Projects Fund is designed to improve the efficiency of water and energy use to improve environmental impacts and reduce utility costs.  The Fund was originally granted to the City of Atlanta from the US Department of Energy “Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant.”  The funds have been used once already to retrofit lighting at the Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport, at two of the City’s water treatment facilities, in lighting retrofits for the City’s Department of Law, and for the implementation of an energy service performance contract.
