First “Best of GRITS” Awards

SEI’s Green Revolving Investment Tracking System (GRITS) 1.2 has grown from a few dozen projects to over 1,000 projects (and counting)! We want to honor the great work that is being undertaken at campuses across the country with the first Best of GRITS Awards. From now until October 16, we encourage you to log into the GRITS 1.2 to add in your completed projects and edit your existing projects for consideration as one of the best in the GRITS Library. (While SEI will only be considering projects marked as “Completed” in GRITS, you can always use GRITS to track and manage your in-progress and future projects.)

Your project or project portfolio can win Best of GRITS in any of the following categories:

• —Best lifetime return on investment (ROI) from a single project
• —Highest average annual energy savings from a single project
• —Most carbon emissions saved to date at small, medium, and large institutions
• —Most completed projects recorded by one institution in GRITS

By building the GRITS Library, we’re aiming to create one of the largest databases of project-level energy and resource efficiency that will help institutions everywhere save energy and save money. The Best of GRITS Awards will be announced at AASHE 2015 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
